The annual Ohio Prevention and Education Conference [OPEC] is coordinated by The Ohio Resource Network for Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities and funded by The Ohio Department of Education and The Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services.

Objectives:

  • Renew the spirit of prevention
  • Facilitate the application of best practices in violence and alcohol and other drug prevention across Ohio
  • Raise awareness of Ohio's endeavor to create compassionate, safe, and caring schools and communities
  • Highlight the availability of Ohio's resources
  • Provide opportunities for networking among new and seasoned prevention professionals
