Founded in 1944, the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence [NCADD] is a voluntary agency with a network of nearly 100 affiliates. It advocates prevention, intervention and treatment. The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of Monmouth, Inc.is a private, nonprofit health education agency. Our mission is to promote the health and well being of all county residents through prevention, education, public awareness and advocacy regarding the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction. As such, we are a resource available to any individual, organization or business in Monmouth County.

In partnership with over 150 state and local affiliates, NCADD, the ninth largest voluntary health organization in America, reaches millions of people every day with messages helping to prevent alcoholism, other drug addictions and related problems and to assist others who are already suffering from these chronic and often fatal addictions.

The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of Monmouth is a major resource for self help meetings, agencies etc, in Monmouth County. We have a Resource Center on site for the public to use. We work with all human services agencies in Monmouth County, including the Mental Health Association.
