About: | The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders [ANAD], formerly Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, founded in 1976, is an educational and self-help organization dedicated to alleviating the problems of eating disorders, especially anorexia nervosa and bulimia. The Association provides services to anorectics and their families, including counseling, provision of free educational materials, self-help groups for both the victims and their parents, educational programs, and referrals to therapists, hospitals, and clinics treating anorectics.
ANAD encourages the inclusion of articles about eating disorders in various publications and participates in television and radio programs. All ANAD services are free, and referrals are available on request. ANAD has also encouraged research on anorexia and bulimia and has participated in research projects. |

The purpose of NACM is to provide case managers and other service coordination practitioners with an opportunity for professional growth and for the promotion of case management. NACM accomplishes its goals through educational meetings and conferences, news and communications, and policy development that continues the definition and refinement of the case management process. On its website, NACM offers not only Personal Practice Guidelines, but also specific Case Management Practice Guidelines for Adults with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness.
