The objectives of the European Association for Forensic Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychology and other involved Professionals [EFCAP] are to:
  • Improve the assessment and treatment of children and young people who find themselves in the justice system as well as their families and carers
  • Improve facilities for and to facilitate joint international scientific research
  • Promote interdisciplinary training and interdisciplinary education
  • Exchange data obtained from research and to exchange practical experiences and innovative research and treatment methods
  • Gather information on and to contribute to national and European policy, in so far as this policy affects young people
  • Raise awareness of the need for constant change in the criminal and civil justice systems, so as to provide as well as possible for the interests and the development requirements of children and young people

The primary purpose of ELISAD is to enable those working in the field of alcohol and other drugs and facing common challenges to exchange ideas and experience and, through networking and interaction with each other, to improve their knowledge, skills and performances.

The tasks of ELISAD are to:

  • Stimulate and enhance European cooperation in information issues between libraries, institutions, information services and centres as well as between individuals in the field of alcohol and other drugs
  • Stimulate and promote the use and the development of information management techniques

The European Association for Mental Health in Intellectual Disability [EAMHID] (formerly the European Association for Mental Health in Mental Retardation [EAMHR]) is an interdisciplinary organisation that promotes research and exchange of knowledge on all mental health related aspects in people with intellectual disability.

  • Educate professionals, families and clients of services on standard and state-of-the-art information across many specialties
  • Enhance specific skills required to provide maximum benefit to individuals with special or specific cognitive and/or developmental needs
